Kimber-Lyn Allen
Pentesting & Cybersecurity Partner
Kimber-Lyn Allen is a cybersecurity professional with a strong technical foundation in secure infrastructure, systems troubleshooting, vulnerability awareness, and practical risk reduction. She brings a thoughtful, analytical approach to identifying weaknesses and helping organizations better understand how their technology, data, and access controls may be exposed.
Kimber-Lyn earned her Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a cybersecurity concentration from the University of Texas at Tyler and holds the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity credential. Her technical experience includes Linux and Ubuntu environments, Docker Compose, Portainer, network systems, VPN tunneling, SQL, Microsoft 365, and secure server configuration.
As project manager for a six-person university capstone team, Kimber-Lyn helped lead the development of HomeNode, a private home-lab environment built with Ubuntu Server, Nextcloud, Docker, Portainer, and secure remote access through Tailscale. The project required technical planning, application integration, documentation, troubleshooting, and careful consideration of how users would securely connect to privately hosted systems.
Her professional experience also includes coordinating data across GIS, CAD, and mapping platforms while maintaining documentation and supporting client cybersecurity and confidentiality requirements. In her current role as a Broadcom Support Representative with Carahsoft, she works within an enterprise technology environment serving public-sector, healthcare, and private-sector organizations.
As a Results Ranch partner, Kimber-Lyn supports clients through controlled security testing, technical reviews, vulnerability identification, and practical cybersecurity consulting. She is particularly skilled at translating technical findings into clear next steps so business owners can strengthen their systems without being overwhelmed by unnecessary fear or jargon.
